Land restoration - multiflora, bushes, brambles, and unwanted trees cleared in an environmentally friendly way. No chemicals used or topsoil moved and lost. Improve your property's value while providing income and possibly saving on taxes. Existing fence is not necessary. We can fence.
Lynne and I offer the services of our goat and sheep flocks to manage the plant growth on your property. On long-term contracts we pay for the use of the land. On short term contracts you pay us for the service.
Benefits - The customer realizes a net savings from not brush hogging the area, the elimination of unwanted plant species, and an increase of grass and clover. In Ohio, and some other states the tax savings for having the land in Agriculture Use is substantial.
5 year contract
We provide new or retrofitted permanent fences and pay one half the prevailing local cow/calf grazing rate. For the sixth and subsequent years, double the rate used in the first five years (the prevailing local grazing rate).
3 year contract
We will provide new or retrofitted permanent fence only, no cash payment.
Short term contract - 1 to 90 days
We will use portable fence which will be removed when we leave. $100 charge for first day. $50 charge for each additional day.
Permanent Fencing - Where we have a five-year or longer contract, and no fence exists, we provide new high tensile fence. We like six-wire 12.5 gauge high tensile fencing with three wires energized and three wires ground. If your location includes a residence or is next to an extremely busy highway, we can use high tensile woven wire for those special circumstances. The product we use is a thirty-nine inch wire with vertical stays on twelve inches. If your property has existing posts and barbed or woven wire we will repair this existing fence, retrofit the existing fence with high tensile electric, and provide an efficient goat/sheep proof fence.
Portable Fencing - For short-term fencing applications we use electro net type fencing powered by a Stafix energizer. Once we remove the fencing and the animals, all that will be left will be a manicured area.
